I’m relatively new at my current job, and haven’t spoke loads with my team. Recently I have noticed a thick tension between myself and my boss- at first I thought it was general awkwardness, but I catch him looking at me a lot, when we are in the room just us two it feels difficult to converse but we always look at each other, there’s an energy that I find hard to ignore. He asks me to do things for him and then seems weirdly awkward when I speak to him, but very smiley. His eyes follow me when I go to his desk and his voice lowers, the eye contact is so intense and feels like there’s something unspoken there. It actually made me quite overwhelmed last time! He looks to me in a group of people. His body language has more recently been very open, very smiley. He seems genuinely more uplifted after speaking to me. The only problem, aside from him obviously being my boss, is I am nearly half his age and he is the senior director on my team! Will this awkwardness eventually subside? I can converse easily with everyone else in the team but with him there seems to be a wall of tension. Maybe he knows it’s inappropriate and feels it himself? Or am I making this all up? Help pls!

I usually distance myself from the person or job completely if i feel the boss is pushing up on me. I guess it wouldn't be as creepy now because im older but when younger, teachers and bosses made moves and that weirded me out
