Why do people try to humble "attractive" people?

I myself am average looking, but I know a few girls and guys who are attractive. What I've noticed with these attractive people, is that people try to put them down a lot. Like on social media and in real life. My friend is really pretty and both guys and other girls will insult her. I've seen guys "rate" her from 1-10 to her face unprovoked and nitpick at her appearance, I've seen other girls call her dumb because she's pretty and again, pick at her appearance. This doesn't happen to me, just her. Her looks get scrutinised a lot.

Is this a thing that people (both men and women) like to humble attractive people? If so, why?

Because attractive people have it easier. This is statistically proven from childhood to old age. Attractive people get more attention, better care, people just do things for them. Simply because of how they look and nothing more. And attractive women are the worst—because they get hit on all the time, so much so that they expect it, and then judge you for “objectifying” them.

So yeah. Tell her she’s pretty but has no tits and an ass with the curves of a plank of wood. She may actually appreciate it when a man does find her attractive.

two reasons, first if you're hot people think they can nitpick your looks cos they're like they're good looking anyways so i can be honest about their flaws and where they stand, it can't make them insecure right? or if does its just for 5 secs and lowkey so its not a big deal, cos at the end of the day they look good. then you have other people mainly girls who are jealous and want to put you down a little bit

I have seen that before too. My best friend in high school used to get mistreated because other girls were jealous of her. They would pick on her clothes or shoes and then buy the same outfits. Guys were rude to her too. I thought it was only high school, but there is a couple of pretty women in my little town that come to mind who've been given the same treatment.

Probably because attractive people tend to be arrogant, full of them selves, and have an overly inflated sense of self worth..
