Shall I try again or leave it?

I met this guy through some friends twice now. Once earlier this year and once just last month. I think he's cute and he just seems like such a genuine and friendly guy, I'm really attracted to him. We're both in our late twenties.

Last time I saw him, we talked quite a bit and I stood really close to him when I got the chance. I felt like I was giving him flirty vibes and I felt the same from him back.

Everyone in the group swapped social media handles and I thought maybe he would reach out but he didn't.

So I reached out to him inviting him to another group hangout because I didn't want to be too obvious. He said yes and asked me about the plan and I told him more and joked back but the conversation died there. He just liked my messages.

I didn't get in touch again because I thought if he was interested maybe he'd try to start a convo.

A week later he wished me happy belated birthday and I thanked him and joked that it was still my birthday week. But again, the conversation didn't go anywhere.

Recently with the group plan, he messaged to say in the group chat that he wasn't sure if he still wanted to come because it wasn't his vibe. So the other people in the group suggested something else but there's no concrete plan or anything else in place at the moment and I'm not sure when I'll see him next.

Is this the classic he just isn't that into me thing?
