Does he have a crush on me, or is he just being nice?

My new boss treats me a little different than my coworkers. He always tells everyone how much he loves me, always gets a big smile when he sees me, hearts all my teams and text messages, I never gave it much thought until after a zoom meeting we had with him. During this zoom meeting he was giving my department some aggressive feedback, when he mentioned my name a little smile came over his face and then back to his frowny face. Right after that meeting he called me privately to see if I was okay and assure none of what he was ranting about was geared towards me. Today was very busy, normally there’s daily constant back and forth work related text messages between him and I (and he hearts it all). Today though there was none of that simply because I was swamped with work. Before he was about to head off to catch his flight home, he called me to check in and see if everything was okay. I assured him I was okay just got busy getting things taken care of before the weekend. He told me I was crushing the job and wished me a great weekend. (Never does any of these support calls to anyone else in the office)

I’m confused. Is he trying to be nice or is this guy crushing here?
