Why do some men prefer quiet wives?

When I say quiet wives i mean wives who are tucked away in the kitchen or at home, behind the scenes You barely hear from them or see them. Only he does. Why does this appeal to (some) men?

Because a lot of men like traditional women. Well as close to traditional as you can get. We’re not saying that that’s where she has to be, we want a woman who wants to be there for us as a family. No one is forcing them to make that choice. But between a girl who is working all the time, boss bitch or someone at home taking care of the house, kids, pets, etc, I’d prefer that. A large majority of men don’t care about how much money a female makes or her career. Most men don’t want a boss bitch. Boss bitches poses male qualities, something most men don’t want in a partner. All these women who say a man can’t handle someone like them, well guess what it’s not that he can’t, he chooses not to. No man wants to go home from work to a girl who’s argumentative, hot tempered, can’t be controlled. What is she a pet? I don’t want a woman who has masculine traits. I want someone opposite, someone who is going to make our home nice, welcoming, somewhere I can come home to that makes me happy.

I'm not sure if that in and of itself is the appeal or the consequences of it. If she's a stay at home wife, then there's only one career we're having to coordinate life around. Easier to take spontaneous trips (and keep it a surprise from her), easier to coordinate all the extracurricular activities of the kids if you have any of an appropriate age. She's typically less stressed than someone with a boss breathing down their neck, so that helps bring peace at home. I'm single, but the traditional wives I know are all insanely happy most of the time because so many stressors are removed from their lives. Those families tend to be pretty good with money, since they only have one income they're kinda forced to give up the "keeping up with the Jones's" mentality, and while I never really saw it as desirable when I was younger, I do see a certain appeal to it for those who chose to go that route.

Dude, in my life experience at 46... my mother was 100% correct!!! Watch out for the quiet ones!!!

I don't like quiet woman... seriously. But at the same time, it is nice when they do shut up every now and then!!! LOL

I guess it's like asking why some wives or some women, are that or they want that themselves. Like, women themselves do draw out or look specifically for that, a man in front, and them behind. Go figure right? It just seems to some people want X and others want Y and some even want Z. You know, like variables 👀

Men don't like to talk as much as women do. Also, a man doesn't want come home from working all day to a loud, disagreeable woman. One of the best things a woman can give a man is peace.
