Why do men never tell you to stop doing things to get their attention?

Question

For instance once I was sending this boy dumb weird emails and he would just ignore them instead of respond and be like “just stop sending me these weird emails.”

My friend did something similar once to her boss and he would just ignore which made her annoyed and so she sent more weird and then borderline rude texts. When you become a bit rude they just block you but until then they just let you keep doing it.

Why do men choose to ignore when women do things to get their attention instead of straight up tell the woman to stop what she’s doing?

Immaturity and an inability to communicate is rampant these days. Women do it a lot too.

I can't tell you the number of times I could have avoided a conflict with someone if they had just been like "hey, I know that you've been doing XYZ to communicate with me. I'm not down with that. Please stop."

Because men tend to not be very good at communicating. I've also found that many of them thrive on attention even (perhaps especially) from women they aren't interested in as it nourishes their egos, making them unlikely to attempt to stop the behavior.

There could be a lot of reasons. But I'll give you one which I am going through in my life right now. There is a woman I know from when I was a teenager who clearly wants to have a relationship with me now. AND she is married. I think of her as a friend, but definitely do not want any more than that and I don't like that she is doing this behind her husband's back. She is constantly sending me messages which are borderline crazy clearly just to get me to react and write back. I don't want to start texting with her because there is no point... I am not interested. On the other hand I don't want to say something to hurt her feelings because I like her as a friend. So I simply don't reply because I know that once I do it will be hard to get out of it without being mean.

Because we fear getting caught up in a argument with a woman if we tell them the truth. Guys don't like drama. We try to avoid it at all cost because some woman out there can drain your energy with unnecessary arguments 😵‍💫

We want peace and happiness, but being completely honest to woman can be a dangerous thing to do because most woman can't really handle the truth 🤷‍♂️

For example:

When a woman ask me this...

Do I look fat in this dress?

I only have 2 options to answer:

1: I will be honest to her ( I risk hurting her feelings which will most likely cause drama)

2: I just lie by telling her she looks great and we can have a peaceful evenin

Every guy knows that you can't tell her she looks fat without getting drama back for it in return. We wanne be honest with our woman but in this example she doesn't give us the space to be honest while keeping the drama away. So we really have no choice. We just peace and happiness

Maybe because they know if they say something then women are going to try to make them seem like they're not having any fun or "acting like a girl" for complaining about it.

Or the dudes might figure that if they're ignoring you then you'll get the message and stop. Which honestly isn't a lot different from how a woman would handle the situation.

It's not anyone's responsibility to call you out on your immature behavior. You're a grown woman, you are responsible for your own actions. However, men need to step up and stop idealizing women, and stand up to said immature behavior. Both can be true.

It's better to ignore such people than become bad with them. And many a times, it is simply not worth it telling women. When spoken it becomes a real deal. Untill then it is all slid under the rug.
