There's a guy I know now for a while, but we're not very close, only seeing each other in passing. I hadn't seen him for a while, but saw him earlier this week and he's completely changed with me.
The first time I saw him again this week he said he forgot my name. So I used his name a lot to show I remembered his. He was saying he'll go home and think about it, and it will come back to him later that night. He then said he'd have to wait until two days later (when I'd see him again) before he can tell me but he might forget again. I joked with him saying if he does I'd be offended considering I remembered his name all this time.
Soon after he asked how old I was (and did say "if you don't mind me asking"), he then said I was a baby considering I'm a few years younger than him. He asked me to guess how old he was, and I was a few years out but he laughed and said "I'll take that" and put his hand out for me to shake. A few minutes after we both had to go, but he promised to remember my name, and did, and even spelled it out. It was the warmest he had ever been to me, and his behaviour completely threw me.
Two days later, we were both running late so when I saw him I felt we didn't really have time to chat. He greeted me with a big smile and a very eager use of my name. But we didn't stop and chat.
The next day he asked was I ok because he felt I wasn't in a good mood the day before. I explained I didn't have a great day at work, and we were both running late so I didn't want to keep him. He said "I was worried I might have said something to upset you", which threw me. I said no and assured him he didn't.
My interactions with him this week have been so vastly different from before, and I can't wrap my head around it. Any thoughts?
