Why wouldn’t my boyfriend want his friends to know about me? he says he has a girl but won't tell them it’s me?

We been dating for about 3/4 months now & he tells me none of his friends know about me during an argument, but when I go out to parties and events his friends see me they stare at me.

I’m not ugly and I never messed with any of his friends so why would he be trying to hide it it makes me feel like he’s embarrassed of me but when I asked he said no he just wants our relationship private but I’m just confused because he’s not cheating or anything so why else

No, when we first started talking he would talk to me in front of them, they would stare
But not since we’re months in it’s like he doesn’t want them talking to me or anything

Because he was messing with females that weren’t that cute and all the bros known of her but with me he said nobody knows about me he just likes to keep his life private like he’ll bring his son around me , and he tells his family he’s with my girl but wouldn’t say who I was
