I used to be like him when I was younger, but I would talk to people if they spoke to me back. However, he seems generally quiet around me, I cannot compare myself to his close friends because I have never seen him around them. He has been around my guy friends, and he seems a little more talk active compared to talking to me. I have tried a few times starting conversations with him, he gives me very dry responses. Texting he sometimes replies back, and other times he ignores some texts. He doesn't read longer texts (because his "too lazy" - his words!). He jokes around most of the time with me, which I am fine with. He seems to want to hang out with me but trying to converse with him seems very difficult, he has tried to start conversations from time to time, but he seems to not know how to continue them.
I've never met someone this quiet. I am calling him quiet because I have asked him whether he is shy, he has stated he isn't shy, but I didn't continue to ask anymore questions about it in case he shut himself up again. I am not sure if its because his inexperienced with females, or he is just shy around me? He has other girls as friends from what his told me. I do not know how to talk to him because if I text him he either dry texts or doesn't respond.

Can you give me an answer for both scenarios? I think his mainly quietly around me, his a lot more talk active with other guys.
For me tho that would indercate he is not expiranced talking to women
But meh could be anything from having a crush on you to being weird to being shy or not knowing how to speak to girls
I am quite a silent person, and prefer not to talk a lot, especially if I don't have to say a lot.
