I have not dated in years and I decided to give this guy a chance since we met 2 years ago through work. he recently reached out to me and we have been talking for a few weeks. I have really been second-guessing myself since talking to him. I’m not sure if he’s interested in getting to know me or if he’s just texting me for sex. Our conversations have been short (1-2 messages) and he only text me every few days. we don’t really talk about anything we he do text me. I figured he would just try and get to know me better once we met up but I’m starting to get a feeling that he’s not interested in getting to know me. Monday we discussed meeting up on Friday but he went on a vacation Wednesday so we won’t be meeting. he has not text me since Monday or even let me know our plans were canceled and when we first met he asked me out to dinner and when I spoke to him Monday he insinuated that we should watch movies at his place and hang out. I know what he wants I don’t mine, having a casual relationship, but I don’t want to have a casual relationship with someone that is not interested in getting to know. I Would like some type of friendship and not only Be contacted for sex. Will his behavior change once we start hanging out or should I expect him to continue acting this way. And why would he reach out to me years later if he wasn’t going to put any effort into contacting me?
