Have you ever lied/faked a relationship to make someone jealous?

Like lied about having a boyfriend/girlfriend? Or said there is someone you are meeting up with later to make someone like an ex jealous? How did that work out for you? Haha. I've played the fake boyfriend card before because this guy would not stop asking me out and I was having a hard time trying to be nice and just say no. I guess sometimes it works but it can be a bad game to play as well. Just want to hear your stories!

I would never try to make someone jealous because I think that girls who play with other people's hearts are as precious as horse manure and have no value as human beings. However I met a guy that wanted to use me for sex without having a relatinoship with me, I liked him a lot but he didn't take me seriously because he was completely out of my league so I told him I had a potential love interest on the horizon to make him chase after me and not take me for granted. That I think is acceptable, you are showing him that there are other guys who value you and that he has to treat you well if he wants to keep you in his life but I think what you did was right as well. Tell him you have a boyfriend to get rid of him. That's what I do to get unwanted guys to stop chasing after me.

It's totally acceptable because it's the truth. There's always going to be someone out there who will treat you better and you know that you deserve better. I guess that is actually what I was getting at haha. Thanks!

I did back when I was younger. I think I just wanted my ex to be as miserable as I was - because even though we broke up there was still strong feelings between us. It drove him crazy - we drove each other crazy. That was probably the unheathiest relationship ever. It was petty but I just hated knowing that I wasn't as special to him as I thought I was. I wanted him to feel exactly the way I did.

Of course it didn't help the situation - I refused to move on and the hurt lingered for a year before I decided to let him go. If I had just realized that no matter what, our relationship would have never worked out - I would have healed sooner. We were both so cruel to each other then, I hated the person that relationship made me.

Whew - the times I had, lol.

No, I don't like lying about that and I just treat people the same as I would want them to treat me. I wouldn't think it worth my time to make someone else jealous.

Never! I don't believe that making someone jealous will get you anywhere. Projecting those negative feelings onto someone else just isn't healthy and really isn't worth it in the long run, sorry that I don't have any stories of my own, I've just never done it

i did when I was younger. I would say I was going out with guys when I wasnt just to see if they would be jealous. lol :/
