Why is my guy friend telling me he misses me and then sending me pictures of him working out in the gym?

I have a guy friend who I used to roommate with, we never dated but lived together and messed around some but then stopped communication for four months then he text me out of blue telling me he missed me. And then started sending me pictures of him from the gym. Nothing sexual but showing me his progress. Even had a hair cut i told him would look good on him. What is this dude trying to do?

It all depends what you mean to say when you state that you "messed around some".

If this messing around involved fornicating, then it is obvious that this guy has plans to continue to mess around with you a little more.

I don't see any other valid reason why he would contact you out of the blue and with your comment, you are actually playing his game.

You don't need to be a clairvoyant to realize that it is his intention to show you his progress in the hope that you would react the way you just did.

For him, it is mission accomplished and you bit the bait.

Yea I thought of that too. I really honestly messed up by roomating with him in the first place cause it's thrown all these mixed signals around. And now I'm the one confused about everything. But ty for your opinion I appreciate it very much.

I've tried getting him to I don't know how else to do it. Maybe ignore him and not respond I really Don't know. We crossed the line by roomating and sleeping in same bed without any real commitment. That's where I messed up.
