Would girls find it weird if they figured out a guy likes to wear a mermaid/merman tail?

I seem like a normal guy in college but no one knows that I secretly dress up and swim with a swimmable mermaid tail. I have always been lowkey obsessed with the idea of being merman for most of my life. I am way to scared to actually tell anyone about this in person since I don’t want people thinking I’m strange or weird. I especially don’t want anyone in my frat finding out for obvious reasons.

A hobby is a hobby. As long as you are happy doing what you like and that your hobby is not something criminal or does not involve people that don't want to participate, then you are fine.

The fact that you have to ask for opinions tells me that you feel insecure doing what you do because you fear negative comments.

In today's world, not much is surprising but I surely would have to take a double take if I saw a man in a merman's outfit.

Obviously, it seems that you are uncomfortable doing your own hobby and you are hiding it from public view. Probably that people would gossip about it and possibly even insult you.
