So, I've got this friend who I'm super tight with. We banter, we tease, and we're basically joined at the hip when it comes to hanging out. Some of our buddies have even joked that we fight like a married couple or act like we're in some kind of romance flick. He teases me a lot, more than he does anybody else who is female. And maybe it's because I'm fun I guess. I don't know. 😂
Lately though, he's been dropping "Homey" and "bro" into our conversations a lot more than usual. Like, to the point where it's almost like he's trying to set the record straight on our friendship. 🤔 Don't get me wrong, I'm all about friendship vibes here, but it's got me wondering why the sudden emphasis on the friendzone labels.
Just a bit of a head-scratcher, you know?

Seems you both know each other very well, however men in general tends to use Bro in their conversation, I would suggest you also work in the same way, call him brother few times and see his reaction.
I will. But is it normal for a guy to say it almost in every word? "Homey this, Homey that" Lol
Yeah when a guy speaks with someone who is very close or with whom anything can be discussed, tends to use these words in every sentence.
That is kinda weird how he changed tones... do you think he wants to be more than just friends?
More than just friends? hmm isn't homey and all these terms quite the contrary? according to guy language?
It is that is why it is weird
hmm... as a guy what do you think the issue could be?
He is confused as hell... you are not a bro or a homey... have you seriously asked him why he does this?
No because I know he will either be dismissive or make it seem like he doesn't know what I'm talking about
