Why do men date you, tell you they don't want a relationship with you, but still want to follow and communicate with you?

Dated a guy for a year. He told me he didn't want a relationship. He had feelings for another girl this whole time! He doesn't even talk to her, just stalks her social media. And he still wants to follow me on social media and talk and text. He knows I was devastated, so why does he still want to communicate?

He never posted me publicly. Never even hinted we were together. Then he unfollowed me from his public account. He still wants to follow me from his private account. He still texts me everyday like nothing happened.

This dude just sounds kinda shitty. I'll tell you this, though -- he wouldn't do it if you would just stop taking it. Block him, stop talking to him, and move on. Or you risk being like a friend of my wife's who is approaching 40, dreaming of marriage and kids, in love with a guy who continuously disrespects her and just uses her as a booty call.

Persistence works in some situations. This is not one of those situations. If you don't like being treated like this, DO NOT keep enabling him. You are the only person with more power of this situation than him.

I Hope this doesn’t come out too harsh but he doesn’t love you or have feelings for you. Maybe he enjoys your company and maybe he’s bored or stuff or maybe no girl wants him except you maybe just maybe but I’m very very sure he doesn’t want you he just enjoys what he gets and he’s still sticking around cheers !
