I was recently blocked after he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said I needed time but I would be exclusive to him.
We didn't know one another for a long time, so stepping into a relationship after only talking for 4 weeks (without a date) didn't really seem like the most logical thing to do.

He was totally fine with the decision, would call me the next day, but I couldn't pick up. I asked him to call me later that night and he agreed... but instead he blocked me. I've been confused (to say the least) ever since.

Okay, I'm not following this. How do you know he wanted to date you? How do you know the reason he blocked you? Why would change his mind and suddenly want to date you?

2) an assumption really, because leading up to the moment, nothing bad had happened between the two of us.
