Do you think Aiden is into me or just playing mind games with me?

I have liked this guy Aiden from the first time I laid eyes on him. He rows for the boy's school and I row for the girls.

At the school dance he kept on coming over by me and my date and at the end of the dance after everyone left walked back into the dance to introduce himself to me.

He has a girlfriend now because a while ago he posted about her. Yesterday we were at a race and I was hoping to see him. O was just planning on saying hey.

He saw me and waved. Then he smiled and I smiled back. Then he did the weird quite rub rub-cheek riz thing. Then when I looked again he said what and I said nothing. then he looked over again and I said what. I thought that so meant he was into me.

When he walked by another time he kept turning around and looking at me. I was hoping he would DM me but he hasn't.

Also after his play, I dmed him and said "omg I saw u in the play you did an amazing job!" Then he responded, "Thanks so much!!!". I feel like he wouldn't respond if it wasn't something.

There are a few thoughts running through my head. He's a player who is playing mind games with me cause he knows I'm into him? he's actually into me but doesn't wanna break up with his girlfriend till he gets to know me better?

What do you guys think?

Hmm that's a tough one. Aiden definitely seems interested in you from all those things you described, but it's hard to say exactly what his deal is since he has a girlfriend now. A few thoughts:

- He might be the flirty type who enjoys the attention, even if he doesn't plan to act on it. Some guys are just natural charmers.

- It's possible he likes you too but doesn't want to break up with his current girl until he has something else lined up. That would make him a bit of a player.

- Or he could just be friendly and reading too much into small interactions since you admitted having a crush on him already. Guys aren't always great at picking up signs either.

My advice would be don't get your hopes up too much. He's shown he's willing to flirt, but as long as he's in a relationship nothing can really happen. Yeah, I can see why you'd be confused since options 1 and 2 do sound pretty similar. As for still being friendly with him at races, I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with that as long as you're not intentionally flirting or trying to send the wrong signals. Since you guys run in the same circles through rowing, it makes sense to still be polite and say hi in passing.

I'd just be careful not to hang around him one-on-one too long or do anything that could come across as more than friendly. Like don't engage him in super personal conversations or find excuses to touch him, you know? As long as you stay chill and keep things casual when you see him at group events, I don't think that would be feeding his ego too much or disrespecting his relationship. It sounds like he does , but out of respect for his relationship with his girlfriend? , he is probably holding back from pursuing you , so he doesn’t jeopardize his relationship with his girlfriend, out of respect for their relationship. You are better off moving on and finding someone else instead of trying to come in between a relationship, in most cases , you would be considered the bad person for trying to come in between their relationship
