Guys, How would guys feel in general if someone writes a poem to you?

like there was this guy for whom I wrote a poem which is like one of my best pieces tbh.. i didn't sent him that directly obv... but I was chatting smthng with him and sent the poem for an opinion... he said he liked it.. and then like we didn't talked for a day or smth... I thought that I should unsend it and I unsent it.. he went to his whole fckin sports team telling everyone that I wrote a poem for him..😭this is so embarassing... like its weird that now people would think that i was so mad in love with a guy who rejected me (apparantly) and its weird if I start talking to anyone and come to know that they both know each other.. like this guy knows almost half of my COLLEGE... tell me what to dooo

When someone did that for me, I thought it was quite heartwarming. Was enough to have me thinking about them for a long time.

You feel the time and effort it takes to craft words into something beautiful and when it's about you, it's the kind of thing that you feel that special quality it has.

Coming from a different generation without social media in schools It was actually quite common for both boys and girls to write poems to each other. I still have some of them speaking for the whole generation, we really enjoyed them and it was meaningful. Much more so than a text
