Guys, what does liking other female pictures on social media mean to you guys?

This is a question more for guys who are in love with their girlfriends or wives. Liking another girls pictures a few times be it more provocative or not does it express a desire for that woman or simple “eye candy” like seeing a beautiful woman in streets and then not thinking about after. I rarely look a hot guys pics on social media and if I do it’s usually a hot celeb guy, I don’t think about it once I like it or whatever. I usually just think “he’s good looking/hot” and keep it moving.

My boyfriend follows this one woman on twitter. She isn’t famous but some regular girl who is beautiful and he has liked a few of her pics. Should I be worried or let it go? I love him and he says he loves me. I just have a hard time trusting a bit because of the past and I know I shouldn’t put that on him. Point being is liking an another woman’s photo worrisome and this needs to be talked about how it makes me feel him doing this?

Also men, have your girlfriend or wives (even ex’s) have confronted you about this issue and how does it make you feel about her after?

It means absolutely nothing to me. I do it just to be nice. I don't care if anyone likes any post I make. I am older and don't understand why anyone would care how many "likes" they have.

He doesn’t comment on the pictures. He follows a few hot girls on instagram. Two of which are some AI models I think lol. I mean he constantly tells me I look “so pretty” or “beautiful” and refers to me as “my (name)” and he is very affectionate when we are together. There is no lacking in that area, but I guess I just worry like most women worry. He has a high sex drive (even though I definitely surpass his drive lol). It just pulls at the back of mind if he is looking for someone better…we’ve been dating for four months. He deleted his dating app within a month and half of us dating. He tells me I’m wonderful and amazing and tells me he would never deliberately hurt me. Maybe this is just more of insecurity on my end.

It’s insecurity on your end. But are you his girlfriend? He has eyes and will see girls that are more attractive than you are. But you also see more attractive guys right?

True. He is my boyfriend. I know it’s definitely an insecurity on my end. That’s why I don’t bring it up to him. I just don’t think to like or follow many hot guys. Especially when I’m with a guy that I am in love with. But again, even when I’ve been single I’ve never liked many hot guy pics or anything. I mean I will see a guy in public and look him over a second but I am definitely so in love with my boyfriend.

Maybe it’s a difference between men and women, that even when single you didn’t follow hot guys? Im also wondering if there are trust issues on your end. Maybe you have had cheating in past relationships.

If he does I wouldn’t know. But he never hides his phone from me. He will even openly scroll on twitter and text when I stand next to him or if we’re in bed. He even leaves his phone out on the table when he’s in the restroom or anything. I think I need to probably let it go a bit and trust him. I haven’t been in a serious relationship in several years. The last guy I was dating and in love with I found out about some shady stuff at the end.

A girl I worked with said he contacted her through a dating app. So yeah, I guess worrying about privately messaging someone is what worries me. Because you won’t know until later and the thought of that pain because I love him so much stresses me out so much.

My ex? It was never confirmed. All she said was that he reached out to her online. But I do think he was messaging women online. Never confirmed. It’s in the past now, but it definitely messed with my head.

So he’s liked this girls two of her post now with her pictures today on twitter…he liked another one the other. Should I say something? It’s starting to upset me. She has 8 + followers.

I think she is. Her eyes are very beautiful.

Yeah, I see so many women say their men will unfollow the women or won’t like their pics. I’m like…you do know they are still looking. 😅 I think because being cheated on in the past makes it so hard for women (even men) to try and be confident about themselves. You think you are being compared and that he may be DMing the woman. It’s hard and it’s a lot of self talk and trust.

Has he ever met her? its more likely he just thinks she's attractive and also likes the content she posts. It's probably harmless.

Not that I know of. We live in Texas and she lives in California. She also has a boyfriend (but hey that doesn’t stop people some people) and post pics of him. I don’t care about the instagram models and such. That’s pretty much porn. If he had an addiction to porn and it hurt our relationship that would something different. However, I think it’s because this girl is /real/ and not some insta model with thousands of followers.

Maybe I’m just too in my head about this. I haven’t dated and been in love for several years since my last true relationship. I think this still being a new relationship and from what I found out with my ex and some shady stuff he did at the end has me in my head.
