i dated a guy, we were not exclusive or "in a relationship", we just went out together on dates and talked all the time, and fooled around like teenagers (aka making out but not having sex or going home together) for a few months.

at first I told him to add me on fb and he said he erased his because it gave him problems when he dated in the past. fine.

but then I looked him up and I saw he has one.

i confronted him and he gave me this whole speech how it causes him problems with girls and he doesn't add girls he dates and even took out his account in front of me and showed that he has a lot of pending requests he refuses to answer.

he made me seem like the bad one for asking. I understand we aren't in a relationship and maybe some guys they don't want girls on there.

but it made me feel like I can't trust him or that he's hiding something big from me.

am I overreacting? I actually stopped seeing him but this was an issue that always made me mad and so I want to know what people think.

It doesn't matter if he's nice or not , It's all in act . If your man doesn't add you on Facebook he's cheating period. Theirs no reason for your man not to add you on Facebook if he has a page . Problems or not if that's your man he suppose to add you on. You really no he's up to something anyway if he lied about having an open account . He's a player

The girl that he's dating , He doesn't want her to see what you post . That's why he showed you the pending requests , Because he's probably seeing them too and didn't add them. Most guys will only add their main girl on Facebook so they want get caught , And most of them will have everything private .

It's a lot of drama and if you break up sh*t is going to be posted on there for everyone to see. He probably had bad experiences with break ups. It may be for many reasons, it may be for the reason you are thinking but there are so many other reasons why some guys don't like Facebook, myself included lol.

there were like 5 other girls, he showed them to me, some he "used to date" but honestly I got sick of him. thing is if he really is such a manwhore he sure seemed really attentive/cared too much about what I thought all the time.

Hahaha! It's great when a girl complains about a guy who's attentive. I mean, of all the qualities to have a problem with, that would be the one that shouldn't be an issue.

But it's cool, I imagine even attentiveness can be turned annoying.

i liked it but honestly I hope he isn't a total manwhore because he just is not good at it. plus at the end he seemed desperate and way too annoyed that I turned him down for someone who has so many other options and is getting laid so often.

sometimes he texts me and it's been a few weeks. one time he was being a real jerk saying he is going to go for my friend since "i rejected him" and that he thought I wanted a relationship and asking if I miss him and bullsh*t...last time I ended the text with "are you looking for some response or something?" because he was just pissing me off and he didn't answer, was a few days ago. don't get his problem?
