What happens when your guy friend dreams about you?

I have a close guy friend and he told me today that he had a very brief dream about me and my current boyfriend arguing. Does this mean anything? Or is this some random thing I'm over-thinking?

it is entirely possible that he likes you, and this is his way of starting the conversation. it's hard to know for sure without knowing the guy. it is possible that it means nothing. if he tends to mock or simply says he doesn't like your current boyfriend, you have your answer.

Thing is, he hardly ever talks about him. if I mention him, the convo ends really quick. if we talk about anything random like his computer or what game he plays or something he's cool with the conversation. But, if it were something more personal like us fighting or whatever, he doesn't even ask or bother to continue that conversation.

What I mean about "if we talk about his computer..." I meant if we talked about my boyfriend's computer and it relates to something my guy friend likes he's cool with it...just not anything personal like if my boyfriend and I fight over something and I'm not ok or w/e

Hmmm... I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure I've been that friend before. basically, if he's a good friend, and he's willing to converse about your boyfriend or anything else for that matter, then there's no need to suspect anything. otherwise, he may be interested in you.

So you're saying there's a possibility that he could take interest in me because we hardly talk about my bf?

Well, I would suspect something if he avoids talking about him, talks bad about him, or anything other than that that is suspicious. normal behavior for a good guy friend who wants to stay friends- usually they want to know about your boyfriend (if they don't already know each other well), and they certainly wouldn't avoid talking about him. if he just never comes up in conversation, that could go either way. personally, I always want to at least hear about my female friends' bfs, if not hang out

And I sure hope that -if he is a good friend of yours, and simply doesn't think your boyfriend is a good guy- I would hope he would be more obvious than that.

Yeah my boyfriend and my guy friend have known each other for a long time. My guy friend used to talk bad about him back in high school calling him a liar and stuff. he still actually says that now. about how he lies abotu little things,but he could be being honest I guess. and he never asks about my boyfriend and I. I have a group of guy friends I hang out with and all of them besides him ask how my boyfriend and I are doing. Could this be other signs? I just don't want to jump to conclusions >.<

I'm sorry, that does make it extremely difficult to tell. since they do know each other pretty well, and he has made it known how he feels about your bf, he could be just looking out for you... however, I would still tend to lean toward he's interested in you. when I don't like a girl's boyfriend, I still ask how they're doing. if he's interested in you, he'd not want to talk about it, and he'd tend to want to hang out with you alone. personality can make a difference too though

Yeah he's a difficult one to read. he shows no signs. We've hung out alone before, but I don't think he's made anything obvious about enjoying my company when we're alone. He's shy and not the type to express how he feels about personal things like that. So he's always confused me. There were times he's stared at me before. but again I'm probably overthinking

Though he's shy and doesn't express much in the way of feelings (as I have often been described [falsely]) - have you ever had conversations about who he's interested in, or girls he likes, or anything like that? for that matter, do you guys talk a lot, and if so, what does he like to talk about with you? this is just me, but I don't think I've ever had a good female friend (who I wasn't interested in) who I didn't tell who I liked.

He never talks about other girls he's interested in. last time that happened was back in high school with this one girl who became a close friend of mines. If we talk anything about women, he'll joke and get perverted about it or talk about strippers, but that's on rare occasions. When we talk, we talk about life, philosophy, english, ideas, we joke a lot about each other, computers, video games we can pretty much talk about anything...we just don't talk about my boyfriend lol also....

He doesn't talk about other girls. last time he did that was back in hs when he liked a girl who became a very close friend to me. other than that, he gets perverted and he'll talk about strippers, but that's rare. when we talk, we can talk about life, philosophical ideas, video games, computers, anime, we joke around a lot about each other (like characteristics or playful joking or personality). also, according to his best friend I'm the first and only girl who's ever gotten this close to him.

Hmmm.... all I can say is that if I were you, I'd be suspicious- all the signs are there. But, it's hard to say for sure without actually meeting and interviewing the guy.

trust your intuition, and try to read body language.

if you've suspected it for a long time, try to remember what first sparked your suspicion and analyze that

I'd have to say that it means that his brain made up a situation where you and your boyfriend were fighting. I once had a dream about a cottage cheese monster eating dogs...i like chinese food, but come on now...

just felt the need to protect her in my dream.

dont have any feelings for her in that way.
