Should I break up with my boyfriend if I don't trust him?

I don't trust my boyfriend. I always feel that he is lying to me or not telling me the entire truth. His stories never make any sense to me they don't add up, there are always missing pieces to the puzzle when it comes to him. Almost all of our arguments are over me being up set or having a attitude because I don't believe what he is telling me. I usually feel that he is hiding something from me, sneaking around doing something behind my back or simply not telling me the complete truth about any particular thing. Sigh its so draining. I am always having to be a spy, looking for clues when it comes to him. I can be very emotional at times, therefore making it that more difficult for me to talk to him about the way I feel. I have heard that a relationship is nothing with out trust. I really care for him but I don't trust him at all. Should I break up with him since I do not trust him.

I'm not sure if this is you but I had a girl friend who always thought there was more to what I said. I'm a simple guy who doesn't like getting into details unless it is fascinating. Your boy friend might just be one of those people like me and might get a bit edgy because he doesn't feel like explaining every detail.

You don't know anything for sure, as far as I read your question. You feel things but feeling isn't always reality. You spy on him and he hides things: the more you spy, the more he will hide.

Some people are introvert. Do you really have to spy? Did something happen?

You make a excleent point. I am the one with the problem. I am always looking for more instead of excepting what "it" actually is. To be honest I don't think that if I broke up with him that I would even trust my next boy friend. We have been off in on for the past ten years, so a lot has gone on between us, with us being at fault at on point or another. It would not make me feel good if he didn't trust me. I see the problem is me having trust issues.

This is the golden question that should always result in the same answer. Yes, you should leave him. Trust me things will not get better. You will always care for him and miss his company and attention, but your relationship will be a constant battle if there is no trust. There are a million other guys that will treat you better. Don't settle for lies. It's not worth the heartache.

Yes! Quit looking for clues. You gain nothing by finding more when you already know he's deceitful. Think of the relief you'll feel when all the craziness ends.
