Sleep first your performance physically and mentally will be lowered in a sleep deprived state. Not to mention your self discipline will likely to lax and the chance of injury will be high
I would pass on the gym because I wouldn't get much done there. I actually do this sometimes though.

how do you feel? if you want to workout and have the energy go for it... if your too tired there's your answer get an early night! ;)
If you feel u have energy then u should workout. If u don't then go to bed
