It's a sport martial arts nothing more I've fought MMA fighters before nothing that special. I see no reason to learn martial arts other then self defense which is why I don't waste my time with show arts like that. Don't get me wrong they are good fighters but they learn it for the wrong reasons. I have a friend who is a cage fighter he is skilled but he would fall in a life or death situation or a real fight against someone trained for the sole purpose of real combat and situations like me who are trained to end a fight as soon as possibly and by any means. There is a reason I don't do competitive sports.
Absolutely not. MMA has been around for a very long time. I trained in it and it still has a very dedicated following worldwide. An example of a fad would be neopets, which I don't think I've fed in at least ten years.
Fad? It's still growing world wide, can't be a fad if its still getting bigger
