My sister feels like her finger still has a cute?

Hey, this is for all the people with kids I need your help. While I was at school and my parents were at work my sister was with my brothers girlfriend, her bunny apparently bit her finger and left a bad gash and there was a lot of bleeding, this was back in September (my sis was three at the time) they stopped the bleeding and got her checked out but they slapped a band aid on her and she continues to wear one literally twenty four seven, I try to take it off but she cries and will keep her hand hidden until mother gives in and puts another band aid on, im getting desperate because eveytime I look her finger is so pale and shriveled I honestly want to cry, I think all of this results from the family not willin to just cut her off from the band aids cold turkey but also because everyone panicked like the world was ending, I was at school but apparently everyone was shouting and blocking her from seeing the cut but they failed to clean up her trails of blood, so I think that all stuck with her, can anybody suggest a way to kinda ween her off because I've hit a wall and dont know where to go from now?

Hmm, this is a tricky one.. because i know when my little brother gets hurt (hes 4), say he gets like a cut.. we dont make a big deal out of it because we dont want him to over react. We also tend not to baby him.. so that he can see this his cut or bruise isn't a big deal. But we also console him and tell that every things going to be okay. Its just a cut.
I know this sounds bad but.. my parents don't put the physical band aids on our cuts.. they just use some alcohol wipes and put that on our cuts and were good to go.. really that's all they do. When i asked why.. they told me that my cut needs time to heal.. and breathe.. where as putting a band aid on will just make the cut take longer to heal..

But back to your case.. see im not a doctor but i do have younger siblings so i kinda have an idea..

Maybe u can sit her down and tell that this cut will not be able to heal properly if she continues to wear a bandaid..
Maybe even give her a reward for keeping the band aid off for a while!

Or you can tell her that u ran out of band aids.. maybe that will force her to accept the fact that there aren't any more to put on.

It's just a phase. My brother was obsessed with bandaid when he was 4-6. Shit kids aren't easy to deal with, turn it into a tool. Bribe her with bandaid instead of candy
