Am I ugly, because I was rejected by ugly girls?

Yeah so I was at a party and I went up to a group of girls that seemed like they were waiting for someone to come up to them. I talked to them for a little while and eventually asked if any of them wanted to dance. They all immediately at the same time said "I have a boyfriend". This, I know of course was total BS, because the chances of that being true are not very high. They were all overweight and not exactly hot in the looks department. I went up to them since I felt more comfortable than going and talking to one of the hotter girls. I am just confused why they all immediately turned me down. Am I ugly? I am 6' 3" and brown hair, brown eyes, never had a girlfriend. The only downside: I'm skinny. What do you think? Was I doing something wrong?

maybe they were just afraid or nervuz around ya so they said "i have a boyfriend" at d same time? just b you and don't b afraid 2 talk with girls. Some girls like talkative, confident guys, and are friendly nt mean. funny 2 so just start talking 2 mor girls and gain confidence in yourself:D if it doesn't work out, there are a lot of girls out ther who would b interested so just try it and c how it works out

No you're not ugly. And those girls could've had boyfriends because I've known some very unattractive big girls who had boyfriends. And if they were overweight, they may feel uncomfortable dancing with a skinny guy. There are many possible reasons as to why they responded the way they did. Your mind just happened to jump to the conclusion that there was something wrong with you.

He didn't actually say that aloud, he was just thinking it in his head, yet he still got rejected by girls who all at the same time said "they have boyfriends" that's really almost nearly impossible...it sounds like they rejected him because he was either "ugly" or...they really do have boyfriends and just wanted to let him down easy

Yeah....but even if you don't SAY aloud that you're judging someone, or think that they're 'beneath' you that can still come across in your body langauge, tone and general attitude even if YOU think you're being nice and if those girls are anything like me, they will have sensed something they didn;t like about his demeanour, attitude etc. i.e. the sense that this guy was perhaps approaching the girls he though were fat and ugly because they're easy game and just thought....no thanks xxxxxxxx

If these girls weren't that skinny or that "hot" as you say then they probably thought you were either dared to come over and ask them to dance or were trying to humiliate them so how. These girls are probably used to being ridiculed by guys because of their looks so there automatic response is to turn you down as soon as you asked because they were afraid of getting hurt. I don't believe it had anything to do with your looks.

You may not be ugly on the outside, but you sound a bit ugly on the inside, and girls can sense that. The media likes to portray women as "easy targets" when they're overweight (and trust me, I'm FAR from overweight) but if you fail to see them as human beings who have options/preferences/ability to sense things... then you're missing a deeper point. And you're only seeing them as "easy game," instead of what they actually are. Too bad.
