Does anyone turn off their electronics before bed? Does it help sleeping better?

I read some articles that using electronics before bedtime makes it harder for you to fall asleep and you get worse quality of sleep too. Does anyone shut off all electronics before bedtime and did it help you? I have trouble falling asleep and the quality of sleep is really crappy too (always waking up tired)
