Average, Fat, or Obese?

I was just curious about what other people may think. Im not all obsessed about my weight, but i do want to lose pounds. Maybe like 30 lbs. But i was wondering is 130lbs at 5'0ft Fat, Average, or just obese? Because a lot of people say "i wish i was as skinny as you" and when i tell them i'm actually 130 they seem shocked. I don't mind whether you give your true opinion whether it be bad or good. Also, what is your view of Average, Fat, and Obese MEN and WOMEN. thanks

I think you are fine. Definitely average. Ask your doctor and check your BMI. I'm in the healthy range of BMI, but just on the larger side (5'6' 150 lbs). I personally want to lose weight, and I have more to lose than you do. My goal weight is 130 haha. But seriously, you know that 130 is not obese and you know that it is not fat. It is not skinny, but it is a healthy weight and that is what is important.

130 pounds? That's right where I'm at and I want to gain. But then again, I'm mostly muscle so that might be a different story, because muscle weighs more than fat. I think people who obsess about their weight are pussies and need to chill, or work out more often.

Quite accurate actually but for other people who are living on twinkie IV drops , not so much cos all their fat is not only under their skin but also INSIDE their internal organ as visceral fat... now THAT is dangerous.

I have a MetalCal caliper , works quite well really. it says I have a 7% bodyfat. A bit hard to use solo tho , you might want to get a friend to help you do it.

7% body fat is quite low your abs must be showing like crazy!
The lowest I got to based on my friend checking with that is 9 percent and my abs were showing.(2 years ago I let myself go) :(

Meh , I got a feeling people kinda expects Asians to have abs cos , they didn't look that surprised. They were more surprised when I tell them I failed calculus and algebra lol

Come on now, be realistic. You KNOW 130 lbs isn't overweight or obese, unless you're a small child. You are at a normal weight for your height.

@Elizabeth21__ Weight is distributed differently the taller/shorter you are. I have a friend who is 5'9 and 120 lbs. She's very thin, a size zero. I also have a friend who is 5'1 and sometimes goes down to 120 lbs. She's still thick/chubby at that weight.

I typed it in a bmi calculator and it said overweight but that could be muscle that makes you weigh a bit more than you look. But I am underweight, 100lbs at 5'7 and people tell me I look like a stick lol

Somewhat overweight. 120 lbs. or less would be more of a healthy weight for your height, 100 lbs. or less would be thin.
