How to avoid getting the flu?

So apparently my brother has the flu (he's 18). He gets sick a lot more often than me and I rarely get sick aside from colds, so I obviously have a strong immune system. Anyways I absolutely cannot get sick because track season just started and so did horse show season so I'm extremely busy. Fortunately I'm at school, the track, the barn, or in my room most of the day. Unfortunately we share a bathroom, it's jack and jill style bathroom. Of course he's showering right now and all my stuff is in there... we have another bathroom I think I'm going to move all my stuff to. Should I disinfect all of my shampoos and stuff? What else can I do to avoid getting the flu besides hand washing? Thanks for your help. It's not the stomach flu, just the normal flu.

It's really hard. I'd say that you don't, it's a matter of luck. Just try not to touch him or his things and keep taking the prevention precautions you're already taking.

Drink lots of Orange juice, eat greens ( salads, veggies)
get plenty of rest , you can eat lots of Yogurt is good for
building your immune system up.

Get the flu shot from your doctor or pharmacy.
