First of all, you can't target fat, and second of all abs workouts are for the muscle underneath the belly fat.
Abs are made more in the kitchen, and if you want to lose fat faster, I suggest incline cardio. I work in the gym, and too many people dont understand that, hopefully you will.

Not at all. You gotta do cardio and have a healthy diet to burn the fat covering your abs. And of course, do abs exercises at the same time.
I would, if i were you, run long distances. Best way to burn fat. Abs exercises are a ruse, and don't work except to shape what you already have. If you have a little abdominal fat, get rid of it by long runs, good diet, then shape your abs with abdominal crunches etc. Good luck.
You can't spot reduce. Simply exercise and you will start to lose fat in places where your body chooses to lose it.

I remember reading something and it said that it takes thousands of crunches to lose one pound of fat. I don't know if that's accurate but..
Cardio is the one that will burn your belly fat.. not crunches etc etc.
lol no you can't get rid of fat doing ab exercises, just cut your calories and do cardio
of course... but it'll take some time i guess
