There's never really a justified reason for depression. It just happens. And it sucks. I've been suffering it to varying degrees for the past three years. You're lucky you can sleep all day. I have depression and insomnia so I feel like sleeping all day but I physically can't and rarely get any sleep at all.

Don't stress on workouts. Start slowly with less amount of exercises and build up gradually. Excessive workout may help you lose those pounds easily but it isn't good for your health.
dude concentrate on losing weight basically... and stop feeling depressed. i was obese before, and now i'm skinny.
how did i did that? i wasn't depressed, and i didn't care what other people were thinkingbout my body. i was totally devoted on losing weight. i succeed, and never became obese again. ;-)
