squats and abs will only change those muscles. So exercice also the others. If you want to look good by adding weigth, you need to add muscle mass and not fat, so you need to exercice at high intensity to stimulate muscle growth. And don't be afraid, you are a girl, you will not look like a bb, you will just get a toned body :-)

Oh for sure... you can eat the same and bump up your regiment... you will see a difference!
Abs are a little more difficult for guys the waist is the hardest place to trim up, so diet does come into play.
If you want a six pack then the ab workout plus diet are essential.
No doubt, you'll notice improvements. But the level of improvements depends upon what you call 'normal'.

Muscle building an only happen while in a calorie surplus. Also, if the exercises you're doing aren't hard enough to completely fatigue the muscles to total exhaustion in 8-12 reps, you won't see the results you're looking for.

Your body needs fuel and materials for exercise and muscle growth, so yes, keep eating.
unless you are skinny, you won't look good adding on weight
