There isn't any single fruit or vegetable that is great for the skin, but rather an abundance of varying fruit and vegetables. It's also important to remember that an "acne fighting fruit" won't be able to do it's job if the rest of the food you eat is crappy. The most common causes for acne in your diet is dairy, meat, and fat, but then again, all of that can be included as fat if you think about it. An avocado might be good for your skin every once in a while, but it won't clear it up if you eat a high fat diet every day.
At least this is what I've found for me. I used to have acne, but after quite a bit of research I began to eliminate certain foods in my diet. First I took out meat (for ethical reasons) and my skin improved a little. Then I took out the dairy and the change was drastic in my skin. All the cystic acne and the painful pimples were gone, I was just left with a few little bumps here and there, but once I was eating a low-fat vegan diet (not even eating avocados very often), my skin was completely clear and glowing. I do find that if I eat anything high-fat, like guacamole or coconut milk ice cream, I'll have a little break out or my skin will just get greasier than usual. Anyways, that's what worked for me and I'm really happy to not have acne anymore. It really takes a toll on your confidence that's for sure.

Yes, avocados are supposed to be good for the skin, as are olives.

anything that has a sufficient amount of zinc or vitamin A is good for your skin (greens like spinach or kale, carrots, red peppers etc.,)
