Yes it will. Any form of physical activity will HELP you. It doesn't mean it will MAKE you lose weight. You have to be in a calorie deficit and Crossfit can help you with that by burning calories. At your age and weight you should stay at around 1500-1600 calories to lose weight. A lot of people make it a lot harder than it has to be, it's as easy as reading the labels on the food you eat to track how many calories you consume :)
A possible and at the same time healthy goal for you would be about 20 pounds.

cross fit is a little too crazy, They teach incorrect form on some lifts, and to people who are not ready, to perform those movements
Focus on calorie intake, simple exercises, and building some lean muscle for now
at your size crossfit will be extremely difficult and you could very well hurt yourself
