I'm asking this question because my friend is starting to worry me. I think she is anorexic but she doesn't really fit the description. When her grandpa died a year or two ago she gained like 30lbs, and then the weight just started coming off. She doesn't want to be thin, but the weight is just falling off so quickly. A few weeks ago she told me that she weighed 110lbs and yesterday she said she is at 108lbs. That is an extremely unhealthy weight for someone her height and she knows that it's bad but she doesn't know how to fix it and she refuses to admit that she needs to see someone for help. Her eating schedule is really bad. She rarely eats breakfast, hardly ever eats lunch (because she has no time),a and for dinner she eats her moms weight watchers recipes because her mom makes the family dinnesr. If she eats unhealthy foods she gets sick for some reason. I keep telling her to eat lunch and breakfast but she doesn't listen. And she can't eat any junk food because her house only has healthy foods. Is there any way I can convince her to start eating, and does anyone know why she has this problem? She says she knows what she is doing is wrong but she refuses to make a change. I'm scared for her because she is getting worse.
Could be contributed to depression and stress. Unfortunately that person has to be the one to seek the help. You however seem like a great friend. Just keep talking to her and letting her know she needs to find out what is going on, that you care and that she needs to start taking care of herself. Hopefully soon she gets better
