+1 yAre you counting the bar? Because squatting ~22 pounds (10kg) is less than what a first day gym member could do.
And before I got tendonitis in my knee, I was doing 3 12-rep sets @ 225 pounds (~102kg). I was pretty happy with that, considering I am only 150 pounds. I believe at that time, I was just getting into the 145 range and peaked off at 153. But that was like 2 or so months ago.05 Reply- +1 y
Mmm I have no idea but thats what I totaled it up to 4.5kg on left 4.5 on the right, Im confused...
- +1 y
Yea if it is a barbell the bar has weight to it too unless you're using something else like an ez bar or something. So you could be squatting more than you think.
- +1 y
Yeah, if you're using just a standard bar to stack the weights on, you include that weight along with the weight on the ends. 45lbs/20kg is usually the weight of the bar by itself
- +1 y
Oh fair enough then

+1 yI don t have strong legs so I only can squat below parallel about 135 lbs or approx 62 Kg for 5 or 6 reps. Unfortunately I have not trained legs much due to some previous injuries. girlfriend trains legs a ton so she squats 185 lbs or 85 Kg for reps of 8 to 10 so she woops my ass in lower body strength.

354 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I don't squat with lifts. I just squat for 5 minutes straight till my knees begin to hurt (I have a small disformation in my knees). Squatting doesn't do much for me, but I'm also not a fitness freak honestly.

Aw but good for you!
+1 y70lbs when I lifted- it was for 6-8 reps for 3 sets, then I didn't have a squat rack available so my progress stopped and I lift solo so I need to take precautions.

+1 y133.8kg. I'm in the US so it is 295lbs. I want to hit 315lbs but it is gonna take a while for that and I have been working on deadlifting mostly anyway. I'm at 190kg/419lbs with that. I have to be careful with my back so I'm starting to get familiar with a lifting belt now.

Nah its cool dont worry
I squat with a little bit more than a typical bodyweight, so i know i can carry someone. I use 70 kg and do 4 series of 10 reps.
20 Reply90lbs plus the weight of he bar, which I'm not sure what that is? I don't squat though. It's useless and my knees do matter to me.
01 Reply- +1 y
Ahaha okay but well done with the 90lbs :D
+1 yI'm really proud of my self too, because I can finally do maybe 15-20 kg , but around four months ago I did 10 like you o keep up. You're doing great.

I never tried to do one very difficult squat. I usually use 15 kg for 5-8 reps and 5 sets, which is of a moderate difficulty for me.

Cool and yeah pretty much the same for me

How much you bench press?

@DaxandCarmen 115Kg š

Super Wow to hear you bench that much. Too see women squat a lot is more common but to bench that much is rare. I am really impressed. Almost as much as myself. You got me whooped in legs. I had too many injuries hip knees issues so just glad my legs function well still.

@DaxandCarmen He he, Thank you :)

Benching is usually people's roughest lift to deal with unless they're not working out legs that much and are always working out their chest.
- +1 y
@Theguyoverthere
My sport really involves upper body only so during weight workouts it is usually something like 75% upper body, 25% lower body
So I do a lot of bench press/pull, etc. - +1 y
Athletes always train differently from recreational lifters from what I notice.
+1 yI never use weights when I squat.
