Nah, not correct. There are tons of other factors which decide how much you should eat to stay at your currect weight. Factors to take into account are weight, age, activity level and fat percentage. If you know how much to consume to keep your weight, for losing its like this: you need to cut 700 calories to lose 100 g. So if you eat 500 kcal less every day for 2 weeks, you lose 1 kg (14*500 = 7000 kcal). Activity level is very hard to determine though, especially since it fluctuates. Weightloss is never really a perfect calculation.

Depends on your activity levels my sweet. Are you sedentary or highly active?
i used a simple calorie maintenance level calculator to determine that your average maintenance level should be around 1600-1700 cal/day...
MEANING that in order to loose weight you would need to cut your daily calorie intake by about -200 to -500 calories... depending on how disciplined and determined you are so 1100-1500 kcal/day would be pretty accurate as a means to loose weight..
Combine this with healthy foods, no sodas and some exercise you should be on a solid road to your goal :)
