So France has just banned models with a BMI under 18. Shouldn't they ban models with a BMI over 25 as well?

Both are equally unhealthy body images to aspire to. In the UK 64% of adults are classed as overweight or obese. Only 2.5% of people in the UK have an eating disorder (official statistics, obviously underestimated) but only 10-20% of them have anorexia.
I know exactly from personal experience how awful and devastating anorexia can be, but I do not understand why the fashion industry are ignoring the blatant problem we have with overweight people. There is now a plus size range for children in Marks&Spencers and I think that is completely unacceptable.
