Is it normal to feel your spine through your abdomen?

I don't remember when I first realized this, but one day this guy poked my in my abdomen and when he did he said he hurt his finger on something that felt like a bone. So he started jabbing his finger there and told me he could feel my spine! I tried myself and I noticed I could feel something that felt bony. This guy started telling others and all of a sudden everyone wanted to see and started making remarks about my body. I am 15 and I weigh 98-104 pounds at 5'6 so everyone was joking around and stuff. So is it normal?

I don't see how you could possibly feel your spine from the front. There is too much stuff in the way. 5-6 and 100 pounds is pretty skinny. But you still have a lot of stuff in your abdomen no matter how skinny you are.

And don't let people poke you like that. They could damage something.

My almost 2 year old is like this he had major abdominal surgery at birth so his muscles etc and not together and you can do the same with him. If you're not suffering from it I wouldn't worry it's likely separated abdominal muscles that allow you to do this.

I'm 5 foot 4. & I noticed this recently after loosing some weight. 123 lbs currently.
Pretty sure most people just don't poke around enough to notice, & weight likely plays a role.
I've also had 2 kids and am hypermobile, so my muscles are parted down the middle & my organs shift quite a bit.
