Girls, were you closer to your height when you got your periods?

I heard many times that as soon as we get our periods, our height slows down suddenly. I guess the 2 inch or 1 plays some truth to it.

Personally, I grew 3 inches after getting my period at the age of 13 (from 5'3 to 5'6). I have a much younger female that's right now concern if she's going to grow. She's 12, recently started her period and is at 5'1.
