Girls, were you closer to your height when you got your periods?

I heard many times that as soon as we get our periods, our height slows down suddenly. I guess the 2 inch or 1 plays some truth to it.

Personally, I grew 3 inches after getting my period at the age of 13 (from 5'3 to 5'6). I have a much younger female that's right now concern if she's going to grow. She's 12, recently started her period and is at 5'1.

Yes, I only grew an inch or 2

I was 5'4 at age 11 when i got my period. I am now 5'10. a woman finishes growing at 18/19 a man at 20/21 (that was what my track coach used to tell me anyway)

No, I just found an old photo of me when I got my period. Back then I was an 11 year-old 5'1 - 5'2 girl.
