If my heart have a small hole since young, is it safe to go for a swimming programme?

HI GUYSSS
i have a very very small hole in my heart since young and i also learnt swimming when i was young.
The last time i went to the dr was 2009 and she said that the hole has already became smaller.
There will be a swimming programme coming on in my school and it's compulsory, do u guys think it's safe? (( i know how to swim but I don't know if the hole in heart will affect my health condition))

I really think this is something you should ask your doctor.

So your condition can't be too severe if you've been six years since you saw your doctor? My guess would be that you could swim, but ask your doctor not uninformed strangers.

you need to consult your doctor and find out first... Swimming is non strenuous activity unless you want to do competitive swimming...
