Do you know what could be wrong with my girlfriend?

She been fine all day she went for a sleep and woke up with a sharp pain in her lower right hand side of her back going around her side and on to her pelvis. he's says its really painful, but it's worst at points. Does anyone know what it could be?
is it worth going to A&E?

Hopefully it's nothing or just an UTI.
But it could be kidney stones! I got them in February. Ask her if she's felt nausea or has felt like she may have signs of a uti (having the urge to pee, or if peeing is uncomfortable). Symptoms can feel similar.

I confused my kidney stones for cramps until I passed the first one. Then I got a kidney infection from having dismissed it for so long :(

If there are no signs of infection in her pee, but the pain continues fit 24hrs, get an ultrasound of her kidneys and bladder.

Have her drink lime with water and sit in a hot tub >__> hurts less that way

We phoned the doctors and they said it may be kidney stones and if the pain get worst to come down, but he told us to check the colour of her pee he said I should be brown pinksh colour but is really clear with a tint of yellow (sorry tmi)
So I don't know

Lol well it only changes color once the stone starts moving through the tube. It could just be a uti tho, or a minor kidney infection.
How long has it been hurting?

We went to A&E at 3 in the morning last night because she couldn't handle the pain and that exactly what she has. Thanks

Omg so glad she got it checked on time! Heating pads and lower back rubs are going to be get only relief until it passes :( hope she gets better soon!

Could be her appendix definitely go see a doctor asap. If it is is can rupture and cause death all though if you go it is a relatively safe surgery. And even then that isn't what is it, is it worth risking it?

Did she sleep on something uncomfortable? She could just need her back massaged, or to rest on something more comfortable.

It could be appendicitis. Does she have a fever at all?

She's quite warm, but I wouldn't say it that bad

It's likely nothing--generally these pains come and go. But if an few asprin and heating pack don't help, or she seems in real pain, like to the point where she is doubled over in pain, she should get checked out.
