Unless you are doing crazy tough workouts every single day it will take a while to notice a change. Don’t beat yourself up about it if you eat a little extra now and then. It is a process not an overnight change. Cutting back on portion sizes at meals can make a massive difference. If you are used to snacking try chewing gum. It also helps to drink a bunch of water before a meal so you fill up faster. If you want to keep track of your weight don’t check it any more frequently than once a week, but that can also be a good way to see your progress. If you are looking primarily to lose weight you may want to focus more on cardio than building up muscle for a while.

Wall sits don't burn calories really. It's an isometric exercise. It develops functional strength and muscular endurance yes but it does nothing for calorie burning.
