Da Booty... Where'd You go? I miss you so... Squats gone wrong?

Okay so... My butt was fine and all just a little dented on the sides and I thought I could get it rounder with squats. I've been doing squats for the past 1.5 months but my booty is actually shrinking... Some People say it's normal cause now the fat is burnt away and the smaller muscle you're working on is left behind. (I do eat enough proteïen etc). How long until my butt actually gets bigger? Should I keep doing squats (in hopes for it to eventually be amazing) or should I rather stop and let my booty go back to how it was before (if that's possible?), because at the moment I'm feeling that my butt was almost larger and better before I began... Or Will it start getting better?
(I know I shouldn't expect immediate marvelous change, but I was expecting at least a little)
