It depends if you mean one mile as fast as possible or some miles in a row. My fastest mile I've ran was about 5:20. That was during the end of track my senior year of high school. I bet I could've gotten faster, but I didn't start doing athletic stuff until sophomore year in high school. It's one of those "if I only" started earlier moments. Oh well.
If we are talking in a row, my 5k time in high school was 19:40 or so if I remember. That's like 6:20 mile splits.
Given I haven't ran as competitively since then (but still run to keep in shape) my one mile pace is around 6 something probably now. My 5k pace is over 20 minutes now.
I was never super talented at running but I worked hard enough where I got better. I remember the first mile I ran was in the 11 minute range... And I was so tired I couldn't run more than one lol.

8-9 minutes maybe?
7:30-ish if I was trying this year but that's in practice. Probably 8 if I'm just going casual pace. In actual races (I do crosscountry) I'm faster. I think I probably would have been much faster if I didn't have a... Let's say Injury during my first meet of the year.
if i actually try then i can do 8 min, but usually i figure it isn't worth the effort and i walk halfway, which gets me to about 12

i've only started for the Royal Navy, and i can run 5km in about 25 minutes, which isn't particularly fast, but given that time, it' would take me roughly 9 minutes to run a mile (maybe a little less (i need to be able to run 2.4km in 11 minutes 30 seconds for the navy (a mile is roughly 1.6km)))
There was a time I was running an average of 10 minutes per mile for distance (longest run 30 miles) and a sigle mile in 8. But when I moved from California to Utah the winter killed me, now I'm struggling to get back up to a 10 min mile, I'm doing about 12 now.
Lets calculate. I do 11km in 40 min
11km/40min = 0.275 km/min
1 mile = 1.6 km
1.6km / 0.275km/min = 5.8 min
But I could run a mile faster cause during long distance runs I run slower to preserve my stamina.I travel 186,282 miles per second (aka the speed of light).

So to answer your question, it takes me a second to run a mile.12;50 is my fastest mile time. The football players always laugh when they lap me. I can't help it that I run out of breath easily. I prefer riding my horses anyways.
I ran a mile at my school for a physical fitness test and I ran my first lap around the football field in 56 seconds! But I ended up running the mile in 5 minutes and 30 seconds. I was very disappointed. 😊
As of now, 24 years because I've yet to run a full mile in my life.
8-9 mintues. That's still good, what you talking about? 😑
Keep practicing!!!🏋⛹🚴🏊🚣🎣I did a 10 Kilometres charity/breast cancer event fun run in about 45 minutes. Amateur to Pro can usually do it in about 25-30 mins.. I didn't really run, but jogged of course...
you can do apply i belive in you, wait you need some motivation music !

Sir Rodger Banister was the first person to go sub 4 minutes for the mile in the 1960s.
For you I think sub10minutes would be a good target. However to push harder and improve sub 7 should be a good goal.
Good luck keep training.I usually run three miles in thirty minutes so about 1 mile per 10 minutes
It takes me 6 minutes to run a mile on a track. If I'm running from the police it's usually faster
5-7 minutes.. Depends on my energy level at the time of running. 😁
My best is 6:48 but I'm not a long distance runner anyways, I'm a sprinter
Do I LOOK like I run? Lol I have no idea how long it'd take me.
usually 6.5-8 mins.
11-12 actually isn't bad at all =]6 minutes flat, trying to do 5:45 some time this year.
Usually when I'm on the treadmill I jog at 10km/h that's 6,2
