Girls, have any of you females gone off the pill and had bad breakouts?

I recently went off the pill after reading how bad all these synthetic hormones are and I was getting really bad side effects from it too.. This was December 2014 and to this day still get really bad breakouts.. I went to the Dr and she recommended more pills for me to take which is like powerful, its accutane and its terrible.. I realize that all these breakouts are from the 7 years I spent taking my CP.. Have any of you ladies gone off the pill with success for getting rid of bad breakouts?

It's honestly more likely that you have a hormone imbalance your birth control was helping keep in check and going off for literally no reason is throwing your body out of balance again.

I have PCOS so my skin is awful when I'm off birth control. Soooo many of those anti-birth control posts are written by people who think it's sinful or immoral for women to have access to birth control. Just do what's best for you and your health.

Thank you.. I Dont have pcos but my sister does and she has had terrible luck with birth control.. I personally Dont think I can go back on it.. I just can't live that life again where I feel so down and depressed with my life.. I agree that it would totally be my hormones being crazy out of whack.. But I Dont know how long it will take for it to settle.. So annoying!!

There are a lot of different types of hormonal and non hormonal birth control. Maybe you just need a different type? I was on one that made me feel awful as well but when I switched I did sooooo much better.

Unless you were on something like Depo the hormones are out of your system within like 24 hours. That's why you have to take a pill daily to maintain efficacy.

My friend, she can't go off the pill or else her skin will give her hell. And yes she's had skin problems prior too but it has kept them away for the past few years.

Hmm. This is interesting. I really Dont want to go back on the pill but these breakouts are doing my head it.. I never had a problems with breakouts in my life until I went off the pill.. 😣😣
