Dang OP 20g carbs? Lol that's smaller than my ones mealer. You should only keto if you looking to go all out , You can get toned from other 1000 various shit too. This is what I do - Go low carb three weeks and loose weight and then carb up last week to fill muscles so that you only look bigger lol
if you are building muscle no but if you are trying to stay healthy don't eat carbs at all don't eat meat in general eat fruits and vegetables truth is the list is very small of what is actually good for a person
I can usually go a few days without carbs or meat but its very addicting and hard to stop now
Low carbs=imbalance insulin=bloat you up eventually by lowering your metabolism its crazy I criticise everyone for being a basement dweller and I became one myself now I know the science behind everything and can easily gymcel and looksmax but so addicted to this bs now
i did it for like 3 months. yeah definitely if u just switch back straight away. the thing with me though is that after awhile, i felt i didn't want them anymore. it's weird. like now i dont eat that much bread, rice or pasta even though I'm not cutting them out. i eat them in small quantities. just became a habit. a good habit lol.
Low carb diets are bullshit. I eat carbs all day long and have been steadily losing weight, you just have to learn about which carbs are healthy and which aren't.
I think it depends on what works for you and you won't know till you try.
I try to eat 40g or less of carbs and 90g protein. Not super low carb but I avoid all the beast carbs like bread/pasta etc. Most of my carbs come from eating fruit.
I have tried it. When I went under 100-150 grams carbs a day at 180lbs , I felt sluggish, weak, and too tired. But when I was around 180 grams a day, I felt great. So I'd say if are around 130, 150 grams of carbs a day is good.
did you have issues sleeping at night too? even though if makes you tired throughout the day, low carb diets make it hard for a lot of people to get enough sleep at night.
Yeah keto diets are good, but you need to make sure you eat enough overall to not feel faint, and you shouldn't do them for long periods. Alternate between normal and low/nocarb days to start with.
There's really no secret to weight loss. It's healthy eating and regular exercise. Eliminating all carbs will work in the short run to lose weight but it's really not healthy.
for me, i look skinny and not filled in as muscle stay pumped through glycogen and with low carbs, its not good from building and maintaining peak performance.
It's a shitty way? No it's not. it can have cheating and Binge eating carb and sugar days. It works for sprinting, lowering and burning fat, without hitting the black wall.
@Unapologetic01 we demonized carbs because it is by which calorie surplus is achieved making the general populous fat. carbs should naturally be about 40 to 50 percent of your calorie intake.
low carb diets are good for certain things, but i wouldn't sustain myself on it for long long periods of time.
my goals are different as i need lots of carbs and i push hard. if i dont have enough carbs and calories, my workouts would be shit and i would start looking skinng.
But if you really think about it, carbs and sugar is fairly new to our bodies system and humanity. It has been recently introduced to it, that's why we're having all these health problems and allergies. Our bodies were made to eat meat, fat , and some veggies, and every now and then some fruits. And we try so hard to eat other things that makes the process even harder to our body's system. Maybe you should try it sometime by eating more? I don't know it worked for me.
it keeps your insulin level low , so when you do cardio or lifting you will burn more calories , do intermittent fasting its the best way to lose weight , you can eat carbs in the training days and cut them in the rest days or lower them
No, it's not healthy, however I am aware that some people just need to do something extreme to get their diet on the right track. I don't agree with it, but it worked out for my dad.
He lost a lot of weight, and is now on a much healthier diet.
nope the body needs carbs to process stuff and use as the main energey socruce what you should do is stay away from unhealthy simply carbs such as sodas, sugary sweets and such :)
@ConsultantIsBack Nope, I just wasn't in the mood to type out all of the info so I just did a cope paste. I actually get most of it from peer reviewed sources (I'm a trained biologist)
its all about the intake and outake.. the energie u get and the energie u spend. crazy diets aren't healthy... exercice cut on carb but u dont need to cut them all

it helped me. i dont care if it's healthy or not lol, nor did i care about grams. it worked wonders in addition to exercise.
Oh wow interesting! What about the undesirable effects? Did it make you dizzy or weak?
i honestly had none of that. i was eating enough veggies, proteins, fruits and even dairy. i didn't starve myself, i just didn't eat much carbs.
Cool :D , I might try it! How long did you do it? Is it true that once you eat normally again you gain it all back?

yea, I did cause I was so hungry. But if I drank a protein shake, I could sleep normally
reducing carbs makes me feel malaise and overly fatigued

definitely not. Carbohydrates are an essential nutrient.
You need a minimum of 80 to be healthy. You'll lose weight and feel fine.
no. humans are meant to get the majority of our energy/calories from carbs.
No, they lead to weight loss in part because they actually hurt the body. Keep moderate carbs in the diet.

Absolutely not
