Should I be concerned?

On Saturday I got these pinch-like sensations where my heart is that really threw me for a new one. I was on the phone with a friend and I tried to not let on to her that i was hurting but it was bad enough that i ended up swearing. I was at the lights and i rarely swear in public.

They felt like they shouldn't have hurt, like when a friend pinches you softly but in a sensitive spot so it hurts anyway.

Its not the first time its happened, just usually i get them in my neck or above my heart almost in my shoulder. And never usually that bad.

I've got an appointment with my doctor on Thursday for something unrelated, do you think i should tell him? Or is this just nothing?
i only get it maybe once every few months.

Um... ABSOLUTELY!!! The fact that you have something concerning happening to you is a complete red flag. No way should you not tell him about this. In fact, I'm thinking you should consider going into the ER and have a doctor look into that now. HOWEVER, before you do that, check online and see if it suggests for you to go to the ER. Look up your symptoms and see if it's as serious as it could be. You'd rather not go to the ER if you don't have to. That's why the internet exists. Go to WebMD. com or some other reputable medical website.

Since you are already going to be seeing him, there is certainly no reason to keep this info from him. Of course you should tell him.

It is probably nothing, but don't keep medical secrets from him.
