Personally, I don't see why you may want too. I played a round of football the other day and the teams were pretty much set. Speed vs. Brute Strength; I'm talking about 170+ Lbs v. 125- Lbs. You put a female into the game and she would probably be the lightest weight on the team. Maybe 110 lbs or less. The thing is, even though we were all giving it all, I started noticing that some of the guys on the 170+ team wasn't putting much effort. When they were on offense they were probably in 3rd gear; 80-100% of their full stamina and effort. But when they were on defense, they went to probably 70-80%. I was going for a tackle and a got charged. Being on the 125- team, I said, "Fuck that..." and ducked out the way. That was the beginning of the game; I started going in for the tackles.
But the 170+ team would only grab shoulder, break us into a full stop and then drop us. It was like they didn't want to hurt us. Just crashing into one of us could have easily dropped us to our knees.
Plus the game dynamics when a female on board just isn't right. I've played sports with females on the team, who didn't know how to play or didn't put much effort; BORING. Then I've played games where, females were on the team playing 100% and the guys were playing at 60%; BORING. Because all the men were thinking, "Nice ass, if I don't let her win, she'll start complaining and no p**** for me." Then I've played games where one of the guys got fed up and just wanted a great game so he started putting his 100 into it.
Girls either get injured and force the game to stop, or all the other guys start talking about "go easy what the hell man." So yeah, I don't mind playing a game with females, but essentially if your going to play, at least be familiar with the game. Also, don't think that because your a girl, all the guys are going to go easy on you. When it comes to sports, girls don't exist. I may be contradicting myself right now. But what I am saying is, if we're playing a game, don't ask to jump in. All the guys are going 100 and if you sob and do come in, 90% are still going to be going 90-100 and your going to get hit.

If its flag football then maybe, but if its tackle then no. Guys are getting bigger each year and therefore can hit harder. You see NFL guys going down with career ending injuries, high school kids dying on the football field, college kids with concussions so bad they can no long function normally for the rest of their lives. If this is what's happening to guys on the football field do you, as a girl, really want this to happen to you. As for skill if you are legitamatly better than the other guys then I think you deserve a shot, but there is no cryin on the football field.
For basketball we were in a tournament and we played an all girls team. Sure they were good, but that game we sent 4 girls to the bench crying because we were just playing a normal game of bball. We felt bad that they were crying, but at the same time we felt that if they wanna play with us they have to toughen up.
What I'm trying to say is that a girl can play football, but she has to prove herself both to the team and the coach first
If you're doing it because you're passionate about football, and even better - really good at it, then I say by all means you should be permitted to play. I think it's unfair that just because you are a girl you aren't allowed to play. Every baby starts out as a female, and only later in gestation do female fetuses turn to male fetuses.
Gender shouldn't be an issue if you're willing to dedicate your time and effort into it. But keep in mind, there will always be snide comments from your teammates at first, opposing teams' coaches and players for sure, and even spectators.
You've gotta have a lot of heart and drive to persevere when everyone is lobbying against you.
But there are technicalities as well, like you needing a separate locker room area to change in, etc. and making sure you are safe around all guys, since you are just one girl.
Good luck.
can everyone cut it with the girls are 110 thing, no we aren't. The median weight and height for a woman is 150 5'5. Even if you're not there, its not like you're gonna die. Let me ask you this, are you alright with getting back up really fast after being run at full speed without complaining. It hurts, but unless something is injured, you gotta get over it quickly. If you can do that you'll be fine, play have fun, and remember you can hit people too
I think you should be able to play football, but the school or w/e organization has a right to not to let you play. If you wanna play in the backyard with your homeboys that's one thing, but joining a team? Big grown ass men can end up with debilitating injuries from football, so what chance do you have if it came to an injury? You're not even in their weight class. They probably don't want you to be a liability.

:P I lol'd at the previous answer. It's just one of those things you know. If I played a full contact sport like football I wouldn't want to play with a girl. No offence to woman or anything I mean I know plenty of girls that kick my ass in sports and physical fitness. It just creates complications. You'll have guys that won't play properly because they don't want to hurt a girl, or guys that go and try to cop a feel while they're at it. But as a general rule girls should be able to play whatever sports they want just like anybody else.
I am 195lbs, 6% body fat. 6'1".
Girls are 110lbs, 20% body fat, 5'4" (If you're lucky)
Now, being 85lbs heavier. Much stronger, and more aggressive, do you think you could play Football against me? Head to head? All out?
Odds are, no. I've never seen a girl bigger than I am. And when they come close, they are fat and lazy.
Football was not designed for women. It was designed for aggressive men.
You being on the field is a hazard.
There are some places women should not be. Football fields, professional weightlifting, and the military to just name a few.
Just like men are not to be found waitressing, or in retail, or dancing.
There is a reason for gender associations and recently, with all the Gay Rights stuff, and political correctness crap, they are being thrown out the window.Boys have penises and girls have vaginas. We play football, you cheer for us, and then make a grilled cheese sandwich for me after because I did a good job. C'mon... Know your role!
Totally kidding, my mom played hockey. I believe if a girl is talented enough to play, she should. There are girls teams.
You would get rocked if you played with boys...thats just simple physical facts...srry.No I don't think girls should be allowed to play football in a guys league. They'll get hurt and cause confusion with the guys, who would rather not hit a girl at all.
girls should play what they want to play. there shouldn't be anything against it.
hell no girls shouldnt even step on the field with men. not all but most will get seriously hurt. in high school I broke a couple dudes badow
There's a woman pro football league. So they already can.
