Cutting out all processed foods is a good start. You could cut out bread as well if you wanted to go to extremes, but I don't think it's really necessary provided you don't eat too much. Steamed vegetables, cold meat is really great. Vegetables that are high in carbs are best eaten earlier in the day so you can use that energy, some might say that if you eat them later in the day when you're less likely to use the energy it can be stored as fat. Everyone's different, it's best to tailor specific things to yourself. Personally if I do cardio in the morning say 3-4x a week, I can maintain a very relaxed diet without putting on much fat. Some people go to extremes with calculating macros and all that, but I think that's overkill to be honest.
